Manager of Web Content (E-Commerce)

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for managing a large team focused on the creation, publication and maintenance of catalog content on medline.com. Work hands-on with the team and each individual member to focus on the development of skills and overall delivery capabilities.  Work cross-functionally to manage, facilitate, and coordinate all aspects of the content process as it relates to descriptions to ensure the Medline.com online catalog effectively represents our product portfolio and is reflective of Medline brand standards.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a large team in the creation, management and maintenance of digital assets for the Medline.com catalog, specifically copy
  • Continuously train and develop the digital content team to enhance skills and enhance digital asset delivery capabilities
  • Work cross-functionally with divisions and central data team ensuring standards for product additions or updates made in SAP are met
  • Main point of contact for divisions regarding the display of their products within the catalog providing direction on the execution of content requests, project status updates and troubleshooting issues
  • Identify new copy and image opportunities for the catalog and execute accordingly.
  • Key stakeholder on PIMDAM asset management system providing input into new enhancements and insight into open issues while driving resolution 
  • Provide support for ad hoc product description requests on large initiatives that require management and oversight
  • Manage web content team providing direction and oversight on projects in production and in the pipeline

Job Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant Work Experience
  • Intermediate skill level in web content.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency
  • At least 4 years of experience in web content and asset management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant Work Experience

  • Some knowledge of graphics.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people.
  • Knowledge of Chicago Style standards
