Forecast Planner I
- Develops and maintains monthly operational forecast down to Item/Location using the SAP-APO Demand Module
- Prepare item/product family forecasts in conjunction with product divisions, Sales, and Marketing.
- Communicate results to Re-Buyers and Buying Managers. Improve forecast accuracy and reduce “Out of Stocks”.
- Leads monthly Demand Review process to align downstream customers on single
operational demand signal.
- Utilize Demand Planning Exception reports to identify and resolve potential
issues. Perform weekly root cause analysis and take proper actions with the
Demand Manager.
- Execute documented process flows, rules, and standards relevant to
Inventory Management Demand Planning. Assist I/S in developing reports that
ensure quality and effectiveness of data in SAP-APO and allows appropriate and
timely KPI’s.
- Determine shortcomings in current processes or gaps in workflow. Utilize
Continuous Improvement methodology to recommend and build improved tools or
processes.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Relevant
Work Experience
- At least 3 years related experience with Master Production Scheduling and Materials Requirements
- Planning and/or Supply Chain Logistics.
Additional
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: functions, inserting charts, pivot tables, Solver/Data Analysis tool).
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability, and statistical inference to practical situations.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and simply.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Six Sigma/LEAN knowledge
- APICS certification
- Knowledge of Database Applications (Access or Business Objects).
- Experience with SAP and AS400
