Market Sales Director - SPT/Perioperative, Central US

Job Description

Oversee and lead Medline’s sales efforts of our Perioperative Supply Management solutions to large health systems within the acute care customer market throughout the country.  Candidate ideally to be based out of Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Dallas, Detroit, Cincinnati, or Indianapolis - or any other major city within the central US.     

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and deliver sales through consistent calls and a regularly scheduled itinerary within assigned territory.
  • Work cohesively with Supply Chain Optimization team and OneMedline sales teams. 
  • Become knowledgeable of all phases of the customer’s business and with the support of all Medline Sales teams, Specialists, and Product Divisions.  Establish and lead the implementation of strategies to introduce and implement Medline programs and/or products that best support the customer’s needs.
  • Work with customers to identify perioperative pain points such as storage limitations, item master inaccuracies, par level issues, and position our menu of solutions to drive growth and close business. 
  • Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all customers within the health system organizations.
  • Respond to and implement changes and/or new information that impact the customer.

Job Qualifications

Relevant Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years sales experience, preferably within the acute care market.
  • Expertise in the perioperative space strongly desired. 
  • Experience in full cycle sales environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing, motivating and directing people as they work.
Additional:
  • Travel 50%
  • CRM experience a plus.
  • Understanding of perioperative data analytics and space planning.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
